EPILEPSY

Epilepsy

The trainee will be able to establish a safe environment and the need for treatment on an adult or child.

• Candidate will be able to explain and recognise epilepsy (both major and minor).
• Candidate will be able to treat an epileptic seizure.
• Candidate will be able to identify when to call an ambulance and be prepared to start CPR if necessary.

By the end of the session the trainee will be able to demonstrate the treatment of epilepsy, as a lone rescuer, in a simulated incident.
