This introductory level training will equip staff to recognise basic mental health difficulties in their colleagues. They will be able to develop a robust and effective workplace protocol that enables the mental health champion to signpost colleagues to appropriate mental health services. This course will help the mental health champion to reduce the stigma of mental health difficulties in their workplace.
They will learn basic skills to help them support their own and their colleague's well-being in the workplace. They do not need any prior training but an interest in the subject is important.
The course covers some distressing topics and students should feel free to leave the course at any time.
